Weekend of Action!

Attention Fandoms:

We’ve spent the past few weeks debating, researching, and questioning whether or not to trust SMGO. Now that all concerns have been addressed, it’s time to put your money where your mouth is. Things have been moving very slowly lately, but we hope to change that very soon.

First off, I propose the five biggest animated show fandoms relying on SMGO start working together. These are the Young Justice, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Motorcity, Tron: Uprising, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars Fandom.

Our aim this weekend (May 24th-27th) is get any of these shows that are still in the voting phase as close to 100% as possible. The YJ and GLTAS fandoms have already contributed over 300 votes to Tron and will continue to vote and spread the word. We will also start voting for Star Wars as it has recently been added to the SMGO page.

The second objective of this weekend is to get Young Justice, which is currently in the funding phase, to $100,000 (preferably even higher). Yes, this is nowhere near the $10 million goal but we are hoping that if we can get pledges to rise quickly enough during a short span of time, we will be able to attract some media attention.

Even if you have never seen an episode of Young Justice, please consider pledging. If it fails, it is very unlikely that any other show will have a chance of entering the funding phase. Also, rest assured that when the time comes, we will show you the same generosity that you showed us.

With five fandoms working towards saving each show, the average pledge per series can afford to be lower and we’ll reach our goals faster. Together, I am confident that we’ll be able to bring back all our shows.

Tag your votes and pledges #WeekendOfAction starting Friday, on twitter and tumblr, and let’s see how far we’ll get!

This is hopebird.

Hopebird is a little project idea of mine. He’s transparent, and I’m giving permission to use this as you want as long as you don’t profit from it.

I want you to put hopebird on your blog (either reblog this or take the image and put it on your blog) if you are a SAFE ZONE. That means anyone who has this logo on their blog will not judge you based on your race, age, religion, sexuality, ability, gender, appearance, or anything. If you see hopebird, it means that this person is open to talk to and offer you support if you need it.

Oooh that’s a lovely idea!

you should make t-shirts that would be really helpful actually

The year is 2013, end of 5th month. Champagne flowing, Yahoo boardmembers celebrate their acquisition of “tumblr.com”. One member, in cheer, says they should visit their new conquest. Laughter circles round the room, and an intern is summoned. The meeting room is equipped with a projector so it is a simple thing for one to open Internet Explorer and go to “tumblr.com”. The page loads, and a man near the screen gasps, dropping his glass to the ground. Attention drawn, the boardmembers stare in bewilderment. “tumblr.com” is empty. All posts are gone, just empty white blocks with empty icons. The intern, in awe, briefly searches, only finding corporate blogs still active. “Where did they go?!” exclaims one. Panic breaks out in the room; lawyers are summoned. David Karp’s phone explode. Chaos around him, the intern turns the projector off and quietly does a Google search. There is a massive spike in a “tumblr2.com”. Once clicked to investigate, he finds a simple form to fill, asking for all of your blog’s information. A downloading icon appears and after a moment, tumblr is before his eyes with all of his old information transfered… and yet… there is an instant messenging system, the inbox has been revamped with organization and folders, there is a multiple tag search, there is a built in blacklisting, and blocking feature. Overwhelmed, a single tear roles down his cheek. A whispered “5ever” is lost amongst the crowd. “5ever…”

Welp, looks like I have a job to do!

YOU SERIOUSLY JUST PURCHASED THE URL TUMBLR2.COM

OMG MY HERO

Mind-Bending Photo-Manipulations by Erik Johansson

Erik Johansen’s pictures are worth more than a thousand words. The German born, Swedish based photographer enjoys nothing more than manipulating the mind with his tantalizing visual imagery. His vivid imagination and surreal forms create brilliant pictures of surreal moments, all with a hint of the believable. Originally a computer engineering student, Johansson currently works on personal projects as well as commissioned ones.
